NFL Schedule & Predictions 2015: 5 Teams Who Must Win Week 7 Games
We're already six week complete through this NFL season. Week 7 is among us, and it brings many must win games for numerous teams. It's time to bounce out of that slump, losing streak or maybe your team has a huge divisional game this weekend.
Here are five teams who must win Week 7 games.
1. Seattle Seahawks
What is going on in Seattle? The Seattle Seahawks defense is blowing fourth quarter leads like there's no tomorrow. If it wasn't for an incorrect call against the Detroit Lions, this Seahawks team could very well be 1-5. The Seahawks allowed four 80-yard drives against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers in their Week 6 defeat. Now, 2-4 it's do or die for Pete Carroll's squad, especially in the NFC West with the 4-2 Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks take on their rival San Francisco 49ers on the road on prime time television this week. If the Seahawks lose this game, their season is over.
The Seahawks play the 49ers on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on the NFL Network.
2. New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are a perfect 5-0, and yes, they are in first place in the AFC East. They took care of business last week against the Indianapolis Colts, but this week is huge for Bill Belichick's squad. The Patriots will play their second divisional game of the season this weekend, against the New York Jets. The Jets are flying high at 4-1, and this game will be at home for Tom Brady. The Patriots can't lose this one at home, thus surrendering the AFC East lead to the Jets with another game remaining to be played in New Jersey. The Jets haven't defeated the Patriots at Gillette Stadium since the 2011 NFL playoffs.
The Patriots and Jets play each other on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. EDT on CBS.
3. Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons lost their first game of the season last week against the New Orleans Saints. It's not panic time by any means, but the Panthers are 5-0. Matt Ryan and the Falcons have to get back on track this week with a win over the Tennessee Titans, who have lost four consecutive games. The difference between winning the NFC South and falling just one win short of the Panthers is huge. Winning the NFC South could secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC for the Falcons, but second place in the division could mean a No. 5 or No. 6 seed. That's a very big difference.
The Falcons and Titans play each other on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. EDT on FOX.
4. Indianapolis Colts
It was a pretty embarrassing game for the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. Now 3-3, the Colts are still atop the weak AFC South, but they need to start doing damage outside the division. The Colts are 3-0 against AFC South teams, but 0-3 when facing teams outside the division. You get the picture. The Colts will take on the New Orleans Saints in a rematch of Super Bowl 44. Andrew Luck should be able to put up some big points against that below average defense, but they will have to contain Drew Brees.
The Colts and Saints play each other on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. EDT on FOX.
5. Buffalo Bills
One of the biggest surprises this season has been the Buffalo Bills defense led by Rex Ryan. The Bills defense ranks 18th overall and 23rd against the pass. The Bills fell to 3-3 last week with their loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and they lost their star wide receiver Sammy Watkins. The Bills have alternated wins and losses every single game this year so far. Fortunately for them, they get an easy game this week against the 1-5 Jacksonville Jaguars. Enjoy the tea and crumpets, because this game is going to be played in London, England. The Bills can't afford to lose this one and drop to 3-4.
The Bills and Jaguars play each other on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
