"Rosewood" is all new Wednesday night, when Det. Villa (Jaina Lee) and Dr. Rosewood (Morris Chestnut) will work together on a gang-related case.

"Rosewood and Villa try to make sure a murdered ex-con who's linked to a Little Haiti gang has not died in vain. Meanwhile, Villa is troubled by her dreams; and Rosewood's relationship with Kat (Nicole Parker) takes a surprising turn," the show's description reads on TVGuide.

In Season 1 Episode 5, titled "Necrosis and New Beginnings," Villa and Rosewood may start to work together effectively.

At the start of the season, the two were going head-to-head because Villa wanted to work on most of her cases alone, since she's a detective and Rosewood is just a doctor. But as she has witnessed his ability to solve any case, she has slowly begun to work with him and trust him more. In the last episode, they worked together to charge a doctor for killing two of his patients.

Rosewood is Miami's top pathologist and is always on scene when a new case shows up. Will he and Villa continue to work together effectively? Or will something come between them?

Meanwhile, it seems like Rosewood has a crush on Villa. Her husband passed away not too long ago, and she is currently going through the grieving process.

Rosewood asked her out for coffee in the past but she refused. Later on, she called him in the middle of the night when she needed someone to talk to. Is he growing on her?

However, Taye Diggs has recently been cast on "Rosewood" as Dr. Mike Boyce, a possible love interest for Villa. Diggs will have a recurring role as a Miami-based infectious disease specialist, who also happens to be Rosewood's best friend.

Will there be a love triangle in the near future? And what's going to happen between Rosewood and Kat (Nicole Ari Parker)?

Tune into Fox on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET to catch all new episodes of "Rosewood" to find out.
