Vikings T.V. Show Season 2 on History Channel: What Can We Expect From the Lothbrook Family Tonight?
Our favorite sea-faring, marauding family is taking center stage on The History Channel tonight at 10 p.m. So, what can we expect from our Norsemen tonight?
The Wessex raid is in full swing, and King Ecbert (Linus Roache) -- whom Athelstan (George Blagden) said was a lot like Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) -- needs to deal with a different type of foe than he's previously been used to dealing with.
Meanwhile, tonight's the night that we'll be re-introduced to a new marauder -- Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), the son of Ragnar Lothbrook. No longer the petulant pre-teen who left with Lagertha (Katherine Winnick) during the divorce from Ragnar, Bjorn is now a formidable warrior. But will he prove to be a friend, or a foe, to the Lothbrook clan?
Princess Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) is about ready to give birth -- and she does give Ragnar a son. Will her prediction about her baby come true, though? Will he be born with serpentine abilities? (Hint: his name is Sigurd Snake in the Eye and his grandfather was a mythical dragon-slayer. What do you think will happen here?)
Tonight's episode is named "Treachery," which suggests that there will be some betrayals on all sides. Will that treachery come from Jarl Borg (Thorbjørn Harr), who has completely different plans for the future of Kattegat? Will it come from King Horik (Donal Logue), who had no problem sleeping with Siggy (Jessalyn Gilsig) to get inside information on his frien-emy Ragnar? Or will it come from Rollo (Clive Standen), who's still smarting from the (perceived) betrayal of not being allowed to raid with his brother (and how could you blame Ragnar, really)?
Or... maybe the treachery will come from Ragnar himself. After all, he's not exactly known for being a great husband. And how you get 'em IS how you lose 'em. So maybe he'll find himself a nice British lass on this raid?
Tune in to Vikings tonight at 10 p.m. on The History Channel to find out!
