Jaden Smith Sees Himself as 'Scientist,' One of World's 'Revolutionary' Minds
Jaden Smith believes his eccentric nature ensures he'll always be in great company, cementing his place among history's greatest thinkers. The famous teen recently said he is convinced that one day, like many influential minds, he too will be better understood and perhaps even appreciated by the public.
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's 17-year-old son opened up in a new GQ Magazine interview, in which he added, "It's the best thing. People think you're crazy. I feel like it's an honor."
"Because they thought Galileo was crazy, too, you know what I'm saying?" added the teen, who infamously showed up for prom wearing a Batman costume. "I don't think I'm as revolutionary as Galileo, but I don't think I'm not as revolutionary as Galileo."
Smith also said he hasn't been much swayed by all the riches he is afforded by virtue of his family. For example, instead of frequenting all the trendy clubs and hottest hangouts, he insisted he would much rather spend his days simply focused on learning.
"I rarely go to parties," he said. "My whole life is just dedicated on learning and breaking, like, the craziest records of life, and being like one of the craziest human beings to ever exist. That's me."
Smith went on to explain that he and younger sister Willow are essentially "scientists."
"Everything for us is a scientific test upon humanity," he said. "And luckily we're put in a position where we can affect large groups of human beings at one time."
Still, Smith predicted over the next decade, no one will know where he is or who he's with, and that this mystery is all by design.
"It'll be like, 'This just happened that helped a bunch of people over here. We don't know who did it, but these symbols and things were left around, so we can only guess that it's Jaden and the squad,'" he said.
