'Grimm' Season 5 Spoilers: New Teaser Shows Nick Mourning Juliette, Distraught Over Trubel's Kidnapping [Watch]
Fans will find Nick (David Giuntoli) in a state of panic and confusion when Season 5 of "Grimm" kicks off on NBC later this month.
The new season of the NBC thriller series will pick up exactly where the Season 4 finale left off. As fans may recall, the finale ended soon after Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) shot and killed Nick's girlfriend Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) with a crossbow in order to save his life. During the gripping scene, Nick cradled his former lover-turned-evil-hexenbiest in his arms and watched her die.
A new sneak peek video reveals that Nick will become frantic when he realizes that a group of masked men kidnapped Trubel and took his mother's severed head just moments after Juliette died. In the clip, Nick is seen telling Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) about the horrific events that occurred as he wanders around his home.
"Juliette's dead. They took her body, they grabbed Trubel and my mom's head," Nick says in the preview.
In another teaser video from the premiere, which is entitled "The Grimm Identity," Nick shares the news of Juliette's death and Trubel's kidnapping with his partner Hank (Russell Hornsby). The detective also reveals that he suspects FBI Agent Chavez (Elizabeth Rodriguez) is behind Trubel's kidnapping.
According to Dread Central, the season premiere synopsis teases that Nick will struggle to cope with the deaths of Juliette and his mother, while searching for the truth.
"In the wake of his mother's beheading and Juliette's death, things have never been more chaotic for Nick. Having lost so much, Nick must dig deep and decide what type of person he wants to be, while also coming to grips with fathering a child with his once sworn enemy, Adalind (Claire Coffee). His search for the truth leads him to FBI Agent Chavez and puts him at odds with those close to him," the synopsis reads.
"Grimm" Season 5 premieres on Friday, Oct. 30, 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
