'Fifty Shades of Grey' Release Date, Cast & Spoilers: Marcia Gay Harden Reveals Details About Jami Dornan; 'He Sings Irish'
Marcia Gay Harden has been cast for the role of Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian Grey's (Jamie Doran) adoptive mother in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." The actress joins the crew in the sexually charged S&M-romance film and has let fans in on some secrets about one of the highly anticipated films "Fifty Shades of Grey."
Since filming began early this year, Jamie Doran, 31, has stayed out of the limelight and kept mum about the film and his role.
Huffington Post recalls his tweet on New Year's, "looking forward to 2015," which refers to the early 2015 release date of the Fifty Shades film. The simple tweet has since been re-tweeted over 5,000 times.
Harden believes the aura of mystery Dornan is creating both for the actor and the film is positive. "I think the point is to have somebody mysterious because if you have somebody with too much pedigree to them. You can't stop thinking about the pedigree. You just can't. It's almost impossible in a film to do that. I think that would be very hard to do for that role, so I think it's good that he's a bit of a mystery."
Harden Approves of Jamie Dornan's Looks
Mama Grey describes the "Once Upon A Time" actor as beautiful. "He's chiseled beauty and the camera eats it up. He's an Irish boy. A UK-based actor who has done a bit of film."
She shares that Jamie has just had a baby with wife Amelia Warner and reveals he is a sweet guy who surfs and occasionally "sings little Irish ditties."
The 54-year-old actress informs fans that most of her roles are PG-rated. She shares that since she's not in the bondage "red room" holding sex toys or flashing some naked flesh, she can liken filming the movie to being like any other movie.
The book has sold more than 31 million copies and US Magazine shares the Oscar winner has admitted to doing a "shame-read" in order to prepare for the role.
Jamie Dornan is Adorable
Entertainment Weekly reports that Harden revealed an amusing fact about the handsome Irish actor playing her son: "Behind the scenes, he'll jump into an Irish ditty, or he was singing a lot of Rita Ora," she shares. "He's like [in Irish brogue], 'Oh, you got that in brain now.' We're like, 'Come back to America, because you got a scene in a minute.' 'But it's in my brain!' He's sweet."
The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and will be hitting theaters by February 2015.
