'Superman vs Batman' Movie Release Date, Cast & News Update: Costume Designer Says 'It's All in the Crotch' for Male Superheroes
Many are expressing their excitement on the superheroes' costumes as much as the "Superman vs Batman" movie release date. Costume designer Michael Wilkinson spill some thoughts on the much awaited hero suits.
Wilkinson who also formerly worked for the "300" movie could not emphasize more the utmost value of curves, Independent UK reports. "When you're designing superhero suits, it all comes down to the crotch. And if you're doing a female superhero, the bust," he shared in his interview with Esquire magazine.
The renowned costume designer added how helpful his experience with the "300" set has been especially when it comes to "codpieces." He explained how the suits will have to be appealing without becoming "too confronting."
He added that the disruptive nipples seen on former batsuits as worn by actors Val Kilmer and George Clooney will not be seen on the Man of Steel sequel. The Oscar nominated costume designer could not divulge any relevant details yet about the costumes he will be making but what he can possibly give assurance of is rendering fans a sneak peek of the costumes before the official "Superman vs Batman" movie release date happens.
It was just recent too when rumors circulated about Marvel releasing a big movie on the same date that Warner Bros. moved the "Superman vs Batman" movie release date on May 6, 2016 according to Den of Geek.
And now it is finally revealed that the movie to also take the May 6 slot is "Captain America 3," Hollywood Reporter wrote. MTV expressed an interesting thought on the ultimate superhero showdown that would surely exhilarate fans. Whoever comes out as the winner of the sales competition, both movies are sure to lose because a lesser amount of money will be earned than they should have once one movie backs out from the scheduled release date.
One thing is for sure: "Superman vs Batman" movie and "Captain America 3" is the biggest summer film fight for 2016.
