Every iPhone 6 release date, features and specs update continue to update every Apple smartphone fan, many may be shocked with how millions of Chinese factory workers are exposed to harmful chemicals during the manufacturing process.

According to MinyanVille, Green America and The Nation have joined hands to expose such troubling news to the majority of the public. Sarah Arnold, The Nation's community coordinator sent a mass email which discusses the harmful chemicals that make many factory workers sick. She also added how the manufacturers do not train their workers in the most appropriate manner and do not even usually inform them of the kind of chemical they expose themselves to.

In China, almost 1.5 million workers are in greater risk of having cancer or develop other diseases like leukemia, kidney and liver failure, and even reproductive health problems.

The two organizations have already prepared a petition for consumers that will be intended to be sent directly to Tim Cook, Apple's CEO.

According to Bellinghamherald, the petition called "Bad Apple" hopes to put pressure on Apple to finally stop the use of the two toxic chemicals names as n-hexane and the benzene. Bunzene is a carcinogen that can trigger leukemia without proper handling while the n-hexane can lead to nerve damage.

However, Apple released a statement to give emphasis on how they have long taken a halt on the dangerous chemicals to respond to the requests of environmental groups like the Greenpeace.

Tim Cook has been consistent in declaring how their company has always maintained the highest of standards for the welfare of their factory workers and lessen the level of reliance of their suppliers on unsafe substances.

On other news, there have been recent reports that the iPhone 6 release date may arrive as soon as the Cupertino-tech giant will lessen their return policy of originally a month to 14 days.
