'Real Housewives of New Jersey,' Teresa Giudice News Update: Joe Predicts Wife Would Follow Him to Italy if Deported
Joe Giudice is convinced reality TV star wife Teresa would be by his side if he were deported to his native Italy, after serving time like she currently is on bank fraud-related charges.
Radar Online reports, during the second episode of the family's spin-off reality show "Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In," Joe told his attorney that the two have already discussed the matter and the potential issue had been settled.
"Of course she would," he said when directly asked if his wife and four young daughters would follow him out of the country. Joe later added he didn't know much about Italy, other than the country's well-documented reputation for great food.
Joe faces a 41-month sentence on the aforementioned fraud charges that is set to commence soon after his wife has served out the remainder of her 15-month bid at the Danbury Correctional facility. Reports are she is slated to be released sometime around Christmas.
In an earlier episode of "Teresa Checks In," the reality star revealed just how tough being away from her family has been, not to mention paying her debt to society. The difficulty of her incarceration recently set in, as Teresa had to submit to a full blown strip-search, after guards came to suspect she might be in possession of a cell phone in violation of jailhouse rules.
"The cell was torn apart, as were the bunks of all of the other inmates," a source said. "It was extremely scary for Teresa and she was also subjected to a full strip search, including the dreaded bending over and coughing."
In addition, rumors persist that Teresa's plans of immediately rejoining the cast of "Real Housewives" might have to be put on hold, if jail officials decide to prohibit her from filming while she remains on house arrest following her release.
