Washington Redskins star receiver DeSean Jackson's LA home was the scene of a violent home invasion Wednesday night, during which at least one person was pistol whipped.

TMZ reports Jackson's Tarzana neighborhood home was burglarized in the early morning by four to five armed bandits. Word is Jackson was not at home, but at least six other people were in the residence, who were able to fight off the attackers.

Investigators now suspect the bandits had been in the home before based on their apparent knowledge of the residence's inner workings, such as the location of all security cameras on the property. It's not known if the bandits were able to make off with any valuables before fleeing the scene.

Reportedly, authorities have some leads on potential suspects and believe the incident may have been gang related. Jackson has previously denied being a part of any gang, but admits some of his associates have affiliations.

"DeSean is getting ready to be a father for the first time," publicist Denise White said. "He's currently in Virginia practicing with the team. He had no knowledge of the incident until a phone call last evening. It's a legal matter."

While with the Philadelphia Eagles, the 28-year-old Jackson's home was also burglarized, with more than $250,000 in cash and property being taken. That robbery was discovered after Jackson's mother found the home ransacked. Also stolen in that invasion was a 9mm handgun. In the hours before the theft, Jackson had been busy posting pictures of himself vacationing in south Florida.

Jackson signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Redskins, and before that, he had a $51 million contract with the Eagles.
