Selena Gomez Scores Her Second No. 1 Album on Billboard Top 200 Chart
Selena Gomez scored her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart last week amidst rumors that she is going to leave the entertainment industry.
Reports claim that the "Good for You" singer is giving up on the cut throat industry and only released her "Revival" album just because she was under contract to complete one more album.
"Underneath her spirited facade, Selena is a mess. She cries all the time thinking about all the hypocrisy and backstabbing that comes with the entertainment industry. This album will be her last," OK! Magazine reported on Oct. 23.
Meanwhile, a source exclusively revealed to HollywoodLife that Gomez would never completely quit the entertainment industry.
"Selena is still all about acting and music, they will always be a package deal," the source said. "She may take a hiatus from one or the other from time to time but she will never fully quit from either. She will always be a singer and an actress no matter what!"
The former Disney star announced on Oct. 5 that she is going on tour for "Revival" which is set to keep her busy for most of 2016.
"I am ready to get back on the road and see my fans in person!" Gomez said in a statement. "This album marks a new and very important chapter in my life. I cannot wait to get on stage and perform this new material."
Meanwhile, Gomez and Justin Bieber recently leaked a song they worked on together 3 years ago when they were still a couple. Reports say they finally leaked the song to promote their upcoming albums.
Their song "Strong" was leaked about a week after Gomez released "Revival" and three weeks before Bieber's "Purpose" album was released on Nov. 13.
Gomez is currently mourning the death of makeup artist Jake Bailey who died on Friday.
