NFL Week 8 Schedule & Predictions 2015: 5 Teams Who Must Win This Week's Games
Week 8 of the 2015 NFL season is almost here. It's hard to believe, but we're almost halfway through the season already. Many teams have disappointed their fans, and they face must win games this week.
Here are five teams who have to win this week.
1. Minnesota Vikings
We're still not exactly sure if the Vikings are for real. It's very unlikely they'll win the division because of the undefeated Green Bay Packers, but the Vikings are now 4-2. The Vikings very quietly have the No. 2 ranked scoring defense in the league. They will play the Chicago Bears this weekend in a good old fashion NFC North rivalry game. It's critical that the Vikings beat the mediocre Bears this weekend if they want any chance at all of winning the NFC North. The Vikings have also yet to play the Packers this season.
The Vikings play the Bears on Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT on FOX.
2. New York Jets
The Jets gave the New England Patriots a good game, but lost in the end. Now 4-2, the Jets are still in second place in the AFC East, but they can't let their foot off the gas pedal. The Miami Dolphins have won two in a row, so a loss this week against the Oakland Raiders cold make things very interesting in that division. The Raiders have the worst pass defense in the league, so Ryan Fitzpatrick has to take advantage of that. If the Jets lose this game, they could be tied with the Dolphins at 4-3 on Sunday.
The Jets play the Raiders on Sunday at 4 p.m. EDT on CBS.
3. Atlanta Falcons
The Carolina Panthers are for real. That means the Falcons can't let up for even a second. Incredibly, the NFC South division is one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL this season. There's a chance the Panthers could lose on Monday Night Football to the Indianapolis Colts, but the Falcons have to beat the pitiful Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. A loss to the Buccaneers would be absolutely devastating. Matt Ryan and the team just need to pick up this easy home win no matter what.
The Falcons play the Buccaneers on Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT on FOX.
4. St. Louis Rams
The Rams have been a very inconsistent team, as usual. They took care of business against the Cleveland Browns to improve to 3-3 in their last game. The Rams have yet to win consecutive games this season so far, but they have to win this weekend. The Rams will be at home this week against the San Francisco 49ers. What better way to get your first winning streak of the season than against your NFC West rivals? A win this week would put some pressure on the first place Arizona Cardinals and keep the Seattle Seahawks on notice in the division.
The Rams play the 49ers on Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT on FOX.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
That was a pretty bad loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs hadn't even won a single game since Week 1. Ben Roethlisberger is still out, and the Steelers are barely staying alive. The 4-3 Steelers will take on the first place Cincinnati Bengals this weekend. The Bengals have looked great having not lost a single game this year, but this match will be in Pittsburgh where anything can happen. The Steelers have to beat the Bengals at home if they want any shot at winning the AFC North.
The Steelers play the Bengals on Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT on CBS.
