The "X Factor U.K. 2015" is in the middle of a controversy from last Sunday's episode, where finalist Louisa Johnson performed at the Judges' House and was spotted recently by viewers wearing two different types of shoes for the episode, which led to speculations that the show may have given an unfair advantage for Johnson.

Last Sunday's episode for the hit singing competition was highly criticized by social media users when word got out that Johnson's shoes were different in the episode where she performed for judge Rita Ora and guest judge Meghan Trainor.

Apparently, Johnson was first wearing a pair of trainers and was then noticed to be wearing a pair of black heels, which led viewers to speculate that Johnson might have had a second chance to perform her song.

However, "X Factor U.K. 2015" released a statement explaining the confusing episode. "All contestants filmed two different songs, one acoustic and one to a backing track, at Judges' Houses. It was a mistake, but Louisa didn't get any preferential treatment," the statement reads as quoted by The Sun.

The show further stressed that Johnson was noticeably wearing the same pair of shoes in the whole performance. "Louisa's performance of Respect was filmed in one take and she is clearly wearing the same shoes throughout that performance. We do occasionally film out of sequence and the shot of Louisa walking to the judges in trainers was taken from her other performance," a spokesperson said as quoted by The Sun.

Meanwhile, Metro reports that Johnson may have just had a change of shoes for the scene where she was walking towards the judges so as to avoid her feet from sinking in the grass. However, the publication argues that it could also be possible that the show may have re-shot her audition that led Johnson a spot in the competition.

Social media users have been highly criticizing the continuity error in the last Sunday's episode, questioning the legitimacy of the show. One user wrote on Twitter, "Louisa getting thru is a total FIX #XFactorJudgesHouse," mentioning that the performance of Johnson might have been fixed.

Another user wrote on Twitter, "X factor is a scam look at Louisa wearing different shoes last night when performing blates she's has two chances." Meanwhile, another user claimed that the editing for the show is a failure as well. "Editing fail, Louisa has worn two different shoes in her intro and performance #XFactor," one Twitter user wrote.

However, Johnson has yet to respond to the circulating rumors claiming she was favored for last Sunday's episode.
