Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston Custody Battle News: Pair Heads Back to Court Over Son Tripp
Bristol Palin and ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston are again at war over custody issues related to their young son.
In September, it seemed three years of persistent battles and regular court fights had come to an end between the two parents, as they reached a custody agreement for 6-year-old son Tripp. However, Radar Online reports the two recently pulled the plug on ongoing negotiations and alerted the judge they needed to start talks all over again.
Seemingly from the moment their son was born, the once inseparable 25-year-olds have warred over what's best for Tripp. Reports are the temporary agreement they reached earlier this year simply no longer works for either of them.
"Although the parties were able to reach and execute an agreement for custody and visitation in a long-distance situation, the circumstances have since substantially changed," documents filed with the court read.
Since then, Palin's plans to wed fiancé Dakota Meyer and move away from Alaska have changed. After calling off the nuptials, she now plans to remain in state. She is also pregnant with her second child, with Meyer rumored to be the father.
With that decision, Palin and Johnston find themselves again residing in the same town, and apparently tensions are once more boiling over. The judge has now signed off on a plan that gives the pair until the middle of next month to hash out their differences. They must report to a status hearing on Nov. 16.
Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Governor and Republican presidential nominee Sarah Palin, has come under heavy fire since becoming pregnant with her second child out of wedlock.
Bristol Palin once pushed an abstinence message that has been reported to have proved quite lucrative for her. Reports are she has been paid at least $265,000 by the Candies Foundation for being the organization's "ambassador" in its campaign against teen pregnancy, which seeks "to educate America's youth about the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy."
