Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 News: Soccer Simulator Gets its First Major Update With Updated Rosters, New Teams
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is getting its first major update Thursday. Included in the update will be the latest rosters and several new teams that were missing before the update.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 has received minor updates and patches, but on Thursday it will receive its first major update, Lazy Gamer reports. The changes, additions and updates will make the game even more accurate to today's soccer.
A much-needed roster update is coming Thursday.
Konami announced the updated rosters in a press release:
"The update file will be automatically downloaded and added to the main game, with all team rosters updated in line with current registered squads. This includes all new signings plus the addition of any youth players that have been allocated shirt numbers."
Keeping rosters updated is important in soccer since there are so many teams and leagues around the world. It might be hard to exactly correct, but Konami will try their best.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is not able to compare with FIFA 16 when it comes to team licenses, but Thursday's update will add a few more European teams and a "bolstered" representation of South American teams.
"All new French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 kits have been updated and implemented, as have those of the top two Spanish leagues. Additionally, new Serie A Italian kits have been updated, while Dutch sides FC Groningen and FC Utrecht now appear in their officially licensed strips. They are joined by officially licensed representations of key European sides, such as Galatasaray, Panathinaikos and Maccabi Tel Aviv, while the South American team roster has been bolstered with the official kits for Brazil's Flamengo and Palmeiras as well as Argentinian trio Independiente, Newell's Old Boys and Vélez Sarsfield," Konami said.
Additionally, some UEFA Champions League and Asian Champions League kits have been added.
The visual representations of more than 70 players have been updated to make their appearances look even more realistic.
Shoes from companies like Adidas, Mazuna, New Balance, Nike Football and Umbro have all been added to keep the game updated with the latest styles.
The final update to the game includes visual improvements. These improvements are based on feedback from Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 fans and players.
