Xbox One Update: Windows 10 To Enhance Microsoft's Gaming Console in 10 Days
Xbox One will be nothing like you've experienced before. TechRadar reports that soon, Windows 10 will be integrated into the Xbox One console. This will increase the platform's speed as well as deliver a better operating system once the backwards compatibility feature is launched.
Windows 10 on the Xbox One console will mean better enhancement on the games and apps stored in the gaming platform. This long overdue update has been one of the recent announcements of Microsoft when they launched the Windows 10 update, and, now, gamers will be able to experience it too.
Based on the video, a fully redesigned user experience is expected to come out of the Xbox One home screen once the Windows 10 is in effect.
Basically, the home screen of the Xbox One console will feature some of the users' latest activity. The middle part of the home screen shows a big profile of the game that has been last played. Players will be able to scroll down on the right side of the screen to learn more about the recent activities made on their Xbox One consoles.
The list of the previous games played will also be shown along with important details about the games. Meanwhile, pins are now strategically placed below the home screen instead of its usual place on the left side. The pins feature the players' most favorite apps and shows. It also shows other things that have been marked as favorites, such as collections that haven't been pinned yet but have been listed as favorites.
Shortcuts have also been introduced for players to enable them to go directly to the feature they want to use. For example, immediately after a game, if a player needs to see his pins, he can jump right to that option using the shortcut instead of scrolling all the way to the bottom part of the home screen.
An additional feature called Tips and Updates have also been included on the bottom right of the home screen. This feature is important because it shows upcoming events and promos for the Xbox One as well as updates and future announcements. In the previous Xbox One's home screen, there is no Tips and Updates available.
Windows 10 for Xbox One will arrive on Nov. 12, so watch out for the latest improvement on your Xbox One consoles.
