The HTC One A9 certainly took some visual cues from Apple's iPhone 6s, but it cannot compare in performance to Apple's flagship smartphone.

The two devices appear very similar side by side, Tech Radar reports. Both phones are made of metal, have antenna lines across their backs, and have fingerprint sensors on the front.

Both phones are nice and thin, with the HTC One A9 measuring 7.26 mm in thickness compared to the iPhone 6s' thickness of 7.1 mm. 

The fingerprint sensors on the front of both devices serve the same purpose. They allow users to access the phones while also acting as home buttons, but the two sensors are shaped slightly differently. The iPhone 6s has a circular fingerprint sensor, while the HTC One A9 has an oblong-shaped fingerprint sensor.

Both smartphones have rear-facing cameras, but the developers positioned them differently. The HTC One A9 has its camera on the center of the phone, while the iPhone 6s is equipped with a camera to the side on its back side.

The HTC One A9 has the bigger screen at 5 inches, compared to the iPhone 6s' screen of 4.7 inches. Not only is the One A9's screen bigger, it also has a better resolution than the iPhone. The resolution on the One A9 is 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, compared to the iPhone 6s' resolution of just 750 x 1,334 pixels.

The HTC One A9 uses a mid-range chip for its processor with its octa-core Snapdragon 617. The chip runs on four cores at 1.2GHz with four more at 1.5GHz. The processor is backed up with 3GB of RAM.

Apple chose to use the premium A9 processor in the iPhone 6s. This dual core chip runs at 1.84GHz and is capable of performance similar to the Snapdragon 800 series chips.

The iPhone 6s is available in three storage choices -- 16GB, 64GB or 128GB -- but the storage is not expandable. The HTC One A9 is available with either 16GB or 32GB, but it is expandable with a microSD card up to 2TB. This is a major advantage for the One A9.

The HTC One A9 has the better battery of the two devices, capable of lasting up to 16 hours of talk time, two hours better than the iPhone can offer. 

The iPhone 6s is the more powerful phone and will take better pictures with its camera, but it is also expensive. The 16GB model of the iPhone 6s costs $649, while a 32GB model of the One A9 can be purchased for $399. If customers can deal with a slightly slower phone, the One A9 is the better buy.
