‘The Bastard Executioner’ Spoilers Season 1 Episode 9: A French Foe Shows up at Ventrishire [Watch]
The bloody and overtly sexualized action of "The Bastard Executioner" will take new leaps and bounds in the next episode when Wilkin Brattle gains a new perspective on what he is meant to do.
Episode 9, titled "The Bernadette Maneuver/Cynllwyn Bernadette," will air on cable network FX next Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. EST, according to TV Guide.
In the next episode, Brattle will be able to see for the first time what his destiny as the faux executioner really is, following the revelations he received in the last episode of the show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the last episode featured Brattle getting a vision from Annora of how he came to be in this world. The vision was disturbing to say the least. His first experience as a baby was when a nun was trying to kill him, or rather drown him, when an unidentified knight stopped her. That being the case, he had to wonder if he was part of the Knights of Rosula, which were descendants of the soldiers who killed Christ.
According to Spoilers Guide, that revelation brings about new insight for Brattle and he seeks out what his destiny is, which could hold a much deeper meaning than the revenge he has long sought.
This will also put a French enemy at the doorstep of Ventrishire and the whole community could soon be in danger.
But now that Lady Love and Brattle have displayed their affection for one another, as well as her revealing her secret to him, the real question is whether or not Brattle can just let nature take its course or find some way to defend them.
Speaking of the one romantic moment between Lady Love and Brattle, it is unclear at this time if Jessamy will turn against him now that he has betrayed her in front of her own eyes.
