Former WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan have been having issues with his neck and concussion-like symptoms for the past two years and WWE has not cleared him to get back into the ring. In a report by Cage Side Seats, Bryan is rumored to be having a role for next year's WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas.

Inquisitr noted that the WWE will unlikely clear the 34-year-old grappler, but they want to use him to help draw about 100,000 fans inside the AT&T Stadium. WWE is planning to have next year's WrestleMania become the biggest wrestling event of all time, and Bryan's star power certainly would help.

The leader of the "YES Movement" revealed in an interview with IGN that his personal doctor has cleared him to wrestle again, but WWE's doctor won't let him due to his history of concussion. Bryan added that the WWE are going to look for a third doctor that will ultimately decide his future in wrestling.

He underwent cervical foraminotomy to relieve some pressure off the nerve root and was performed by world-renowned neurosurgeon and sports medicine specialist Dr. Joseph Maroon, per WWE.com. It was after just a few months after winning the WWE title at WrestleMania 30.

Bryan returned at the Royal Rumble and went on to win the Intercontinental championship in a Ladder Match at WrestleMania 31. He then had to relinquish it again just more than a month due to concussion-related injuries that he confirmed via an interview with Pro-Wrestling.net.

If he is ever cleared by the WWE to wrestle again, Bryan said that he wants to have a program with "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar, per Inquisitr. "My number one dream match is Brock Lesnar. And I want that to be a Wrestlemania match. I don't know if the WWE will ever let that happen because they might be afraid he might legitimately hurt me pretty bad," he said.

The report noted that Bryan was originally scheduled to drop the WWE World title to Lesnar at last year's SummerSlam before he was injured. It was going to be a squash match just like what "The Beast" did to John Cena at the same event, hitting two F5s and 16 German Suplexes.

Inquisitr also speculates that the WWE might try to hold off Bryan's return after WrestleMania 32 because they might think that his presence will ruin their WrestleMania plans for the third straight year. He was inserted in the Randy Orton and Batista main event at WrestleMania 30, and Seth Rollins eventually went on to win the WWE title at WrestleMania 31, opposed to the planned Roman Reigns win.
