"Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth's previous interview with Men's Fitness magazine for its November issue, where he also talked about his former fiancé Miley Cyrus, gave birth to a new set of rumors claiming that Cyrus is interested in reuniting with Hemsworth.

Hollywood Life reported that Hemsworth's statements regarding the 22-year-old singer is a huge deal for Cyrus. "Hearing him defend her and say he still cares about her and loves her is huge, Miley could not be happier. For a long time she was angry at him and she felt like he abandoned her so it's that much more meaningful that he's being so public about it, she feels vindicated," an insider told the publication.

Not only that, a source further claimed that there might be a possible reunion between the former engaged couple. "Who knows, crazier things have happened, but that's not what's happening right now, they're strictly friends at this point," a source told Hollywood Life.

Apparently, since Cyrus is reportedly not seeing Patrick Schwarzenegger or Stella Maxwell, she and Hemsworth might indeed be reunited as the two are rumored to have reconnected once again and even communicated through phone, the publication reports.

Rumors sparked when Hemsworth Men's Fitness interview indicated that his feelings for Cyrus won't change as he feels that his relationship with the singer was the real thing and not just a fling. "You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage," Hemsworth told the magazine.

"I mean, look-we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be. She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do," he added.

After the interview, another report from Hollywood Life further claimed that Cyrus even felt she had butterflies because of it. Rumors further suggest that Cyrus' desire to be Hemsworth's wife remain to be unchanged. However, there are still no official statements coming from the former "Hannah Montana" star regarding the rumors.

A previous interview, however, suggested that Cyrus wouldn't want to be with anyone else again after her breakup with Hemsworth. "I don't ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like, without them, you can't be yourself," Cyrus said in an interview with "Good Morning America."
