Good news for "Doctor Who" fans and much more for those who love both the Time Lord and the "The Lego Movie."

According to Screen Rant, the famed doctor may be having a big silver screen break as he is betted to cast in the "The Lego Movie" follow-up, "The Lego Movie Sequel."

Unlike last year's Lego film, the movie will not be helmed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller but they will remain as the movie's scribes. Taking the director's seat instead was Rob Schrab whose famous works include "Community" and "G.I. Jeff."

With the departure of co-writers/co-directors from one of the best films in 2014 as helmers, Schrab has taken the duo's place and he revealed that the BBC-owned character may be featured in the upcoming Lego film.

In fact, Forbes reports that Warner Bros. execs, including Schrab & Co., are already in talks with the "Doctor Who" home network. It was reported that Schrab revealed it during Dan Harmon's "Harmontown Podcast."

While Schrab had hinted that The Doctor can possibly appear in "The Lego Movie Sequel," he did not elaborate on the more intricate details regarding the character's appearance. The doctor's appearance is also in question. Fans are baffled on whether the Time Lord will reprise for a full-fledge role akin to Batman in last year's Lego film or for just a cameo appearance just like Han Solo and Chewbacca in "The Lego Movie."

Also, no one exactly knows which Doctor would appear or if all of them will be booked to appear altogether. Some reports speculate that it could be Matt Smith donning his signature bow tie or Peter Capaldi sporting his electric guitar and sonic sunglasses.

Should The Doctor be featured in the animation film, this will mark the first time that the character will appear in a movie after being featured in Peter Cushing's films during the 1960s.

It was only recently that "Doctor Who" joined the growing Lego family after it appeared in video game "Lego Dimensions" along with Tardis and K-9. In the video game, only the Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi, is the accessible character playable in the story level. However, once a player reaches open world mode, other doctors from different generations can be accessed. Meanwhile, the "Doctor Who" Lego set is targeted to be released this December.

"The Lego Movie Sequel" will hit theaters in springtime, May 18, 2016.
