Taylor Swift is in the newly released The Giver trailer. Missed her? Well, she wasn't exactly donning her blond hair and she appears only for a second.

Fans of the country singer can skip to 0:44 to get a glimpse of their idol but as reports say, best to not blink and literally keep an eye out for her. The singer is there! In fact, Taylor plays the role of Rosemary in the film adaptation.

The acting stint is not the singer's first. Billboard notes that Taylor has also been part of Gary Marshall's Valentine's Day. She has also guested on New Girl and CSI. The crooner also voiced Audrey in Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer's character in The Giver is "the last teen mentored by The Giver before he meets Jonas." Jonas is played by Brenton Thwaites, one of the key characters in the story.

The Giver is based on Lois Lowry's book of the same title, which tells the story of a seemingly perfect world without war, pain and suffering, notes the film's description. The plot centers on Jonas, a 12-year old who was appointed to be the community's Receiver of Memories.

As the Receiver of Memories, Jonas' task is to savor all the pain, suffering and sadness of the community, notes io9.com.

Jonas is then trained by The Giver, an old man who shows the boy everything that their seemingly perfect community lacks. The elderly character is played by Jeff Bridges.

The upcoming movie adaptation also stars Katie Holmes who plays Jonas' mother and Alexander Skarsgård who takes the role of the young boy's father. The role of Chief Elder is played by Meryl Streep and Jonas' love interest, Fiona, is portrayed by Odeya Rush.

The Giver is expected to hit theaters in the US this August 15. Watch the film's official trailer below.
