Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood Read Mean Tweets on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'
With the annual Country Music Awards all done and the prestigious awards given to the talented country music stars, including Luke Bryan who won the biggest award of the night, it's now time for some fun.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" released its famous "Read Mean Tweets" segment, and all the famous country musicians were in it.
"Entertainer of the Year" Bryan, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and a lot more joined in on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" segment, where the stars read some of the meanest and funniest tweets about them on camera.
The Rolling Stone reported that the country singers were laughing on the mean and funny messages that random people posted on Twitter in light of the recent CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, last Wednesday.
Even when Bryan won the best award of the night, some people were still not into his musical ability. "You ever gotten so drunk you said a Luke Bryan song actually wasn't that bad? Me neither," Bryan read one of the tweets for the segment as quoted by the Rolling Stone.
Meanwhile, Rucker was cracking up when he read some of the mean tweets about him such as, "Some of my best friends are black, but Darrius rucker sucks ass."
Not only that, the band Rascal Flatts also couldn't control their laughter with how mean and funny the messages are for them. Gary LeVox read a tweet saying, "Rascal Flatts, please do us all a favor and stop making music you are so awful. #sobad #spareus #soundsofdeath."
A lot more artists, including Underwood with a message that she couldn't understand, joined in the fun, Us Weekly reported. However, one of the tweets to Tim McGraw was so mean that the singer said, "Reggie, you need to move out, man!" Meanwhile, Willie Nelson agreed to one the tweets for him, saying that he should be using marijuana so he won't die.
As the CMA Awards concluded, Hypebot reported that Chris Stapleton won Album of the Year and "Male Vocalist of the Year" while Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" won Single of the Year. The same band also grabbed the "Song of the Year" award with the same hit.
Hypebot further reports that Miranda Lambert, for the sixth consecutive time, won Female Vocalist of the Year.
