'Arrow' Season 4 Episode 6 Spoilers: Ray Palmer Becomes The Atom in 'Lost Souls' [Watch]
"Arrow" fans can look forward to seeing Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) transform into The Atom in Wednesday night's all-new episode.
Last season, it appeared as if Routh's character died in a huge explosion during the finale. As a result, Starling City honored the fallen hero by renaming the town Star City.
However, in Episode 6 of Season 4, entitled "Lost Souls," Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) will discover that her ex-boyfriend actually survived the explosion and is being held captive by Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). To make matters worse, Ray has somehow been shrunk into a pocket size action figure.
Team Arrow will go on a rescue mission to save him, but they will essentially be searching for a needle in a haystack. Meanwhile, Felicity and Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) will find a way to help Ray return to a normal size.
The synopsis for the upcoming episode also teases that Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) will continue to suffer from side effects after being resurrected through the Lazarus Pit. Her condition even threatens to destroy Ray's rescue mission.
"Felicity is frantic when she learns that Ray is alive and being held by Damien Darhk. Felicity's guilt over not finding Ray sooner causes tension between her and Oliver (Stephen Amell). Meanwhile, Sara joins Laurel (Katie Cassidy), Thea (Willa Holland) and the team on a rescue mission for Ray. However, the effects of the Lazarus Pit take over and threaten to jeopardize the entire operation. Donna Smoak (guest star Charlotte Ross) returns to Star City," reads the synopsis, according to ComicBook.com.
Co-showrunner Wendy Mericle also dropped teasers about the mysterious death during a flash-forward in the Season 4 premiere.
The mystery will deepen throughout the season, with additional flash-forwards around mid-season, Mericle told TVLine.
"We're definitely toying with that, and when and if we do decide to do that, it will reveal even more pertinent information about not who's going to be in the grave but certainly where our characters are when that [death] happens," the executive producer added.
"Arrow" Season 4 Episode 6 will air on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
