'Elementary' Season 4 Episode 2 Spoilers: Tension Grows Between Watson and Sherlock's Father [Watch]
In the upcoming episode of "Elementary," a troubled and newly sober Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) tries to pick up the pieces of his shattered life.
As if being an addict was not challenge enough, the brilliant detective must now deal with the stress of having his estranged father come into town.
Both Sherlock and Joan do not know what to make of his intentions.
A teaser for Episode 2 of Season 4, titled "Evidence of Things Not Seen," shows Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) expressing her suspicion before Morland Holmes (John Noble).
After telling Sherlock’s father that she was not sure if she could trust him, Morland poses a cutting question to her. “I’m curious,” he wonders, “Why kick over rocks when you really don’t want to know what’s beneath them?”
Lucy Liu, the 46-year-old actress who plays Sherlock's trusty sidekick, has been a well known entertainer since the 1990s, showing up in hit shows like “Ally McBeal” and films like “Charlie’s Angels.”
Fans of the actress might not know that before she made the jump to acting, she was an aspiring artist.
In an interview in AsianSociety.org the actress revealed her early attempts as an artist. “When I was 12 to 16, I was just working on collages and it was just for my own amusement and it was a nice outlet for me,” she said, “After I graduated from college, I started taking it more seriously.”
After someone recommended that she put her work up in a gallery, Liu had her first show.
When asked if being an artist helped her acting, Liu said that it absolutely did. “Anything creative, anything to do with art -- dance, theater, music, visual art itself -- all contributes to the big picture,” she said.
“Elementary” airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on CBS.
