Gisele Bündchen admits she once strongly considered dumping Tom Brady, after he impregnated his ex-girlfriend early in their relationship.

"It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking I'm dating this guy," TMZ reports the super model recently told "CBS This Morning." "We met, we started dating, everything is great and then this happens."

Bündchen recalls being unsure what to do or if she should even continue to see the Super Bowl winning quarterback.

"It was kind of one of those moments of like, 'Do I just run away?'" she said. "And I think, you know, eight years later I couldn't have asked for a sweeter bonus child."

In time, Bündchen and Brady became man and wife, eventually having children of their own. Bündchen now describes her husband as a "very kind man."

Bündchen also reflected that the two have supported one another through many tough times, including Brady and the Patriot's recent Deflategate drama.

"I think we have been through a few tough times together," she said. "I think that's when you know who are your friends and who loves you. I think no matter how challenging it was we've always been supportive of one another and I think that's the most important thing you can have in life."

Now, all seems perfect between the couple, as evidenced by a recent family vacation they took to Brady's Costa Rican off-season home, where they spent plenty of time frolicking on the beach.

A good home life has seemed to work wonders for Brady, helping him launch the Patriots to a perfect 8-0 start this season. Brady leads the league in touchdown passes (22), and ranks third behind Philip Rivers and Drew Brees in passing yards (2,709).
