Square Enix releases the latest update for the Final Fantasy 14. It brings in new quests for the "Heavensward" expansion.

According to official US PlayStation blog, the "Final Fantasy 14" Patch 3.1 titled "As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness" offers new exploratory missions. This latest update to the world of Eorzea will let players together with their friends to join a quest to "explore a region with unknown dangers and resources."

Moreover, Capsule Computers noted that the Patch 3.1 continues the main scenario in the Heavensward expansion, following the Ishgard nation after the return of the Warrior of Light from Azyz Lla.

There will be a 24-alliance raid called "Void Ark" where players will battle on a haunted vessel. In this raid, players will embark on missions to discover rare items and gears as well as recover spoils of the lost civilization.

Moreover, the "Final Fantasy 14" patch 3.1 also features an all-new real-time strategy or RTS attraction called "Lord of Verminion." Located at Manderville Gold Saucer, this latest attraction allows players to have one-on-one matches against other players or battle with the boss minions.

Another exciting feature of the "Final Fantasy 14" Patch 3.1 is the addition of two new dungeons. The first high-level dungeon is the Saint Mocianne's Arboretum. A side quest is available in this dungeon where players need to be in Magic Level 60 or be in the Disciple of War class, as detailed on the official Square Enix site.

Also, to enjoy this new side quest, players need to finish first the main scenario quest "Heavensward." For the location, adventurers need to be in the Dravanian Hinterlands.

Another high-level dungeon that is added in the "Final Fantasy 14: Heavensward" expansion through Patch 3.1 is the Pharos Sirius where a new side quest called "Things Are Getting Sirius" can also be explored. This also requires the Disciple or War class or Magic level 60 and players need to be in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks to commence with the quest.

Various issues have also been addressed in this recently-released update, according to the official patch notes. For instance, the problem in which players could not move after getting wreaked "with the Death Throes status during the siren boss fight in Pharos Sirius."
