The Salvatore brothers will team up to kill their mother's longtime love in Thursday night's episode of 'The Vampire Diaries."

In the upcoming Episode 6 of Season 7, entitled "Best Served Cold," Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) will set out to kill Lily Salvatore's (guest star Annie Wersching) beloved Heretic boyfriend Julian (guest star Todd Lasance), after he is resurrected from the dead. Meanwhile, the synopsis reveals that Lily will host a dinner party in an effort to introduce Julian to her family and squash the beef between the Heretics and those from Mystic Falls.

"After being reunited with her former love Julian, Lily hosts a dinner party to introduce him to Damon and Stefan and to declare peace between her family of Heretics and the residents of Mystic Falls," the synopsis reads, according to CarterMatt. "Damon and Stefan find themselves at an impasse when they realize they have differing views on how to handle Julian's arrival. At the party, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Matt (Zach Roerig) uncover a strange mystery involving some unsuspecting residents, while a devastating revelation causes Alaric (Matt Davis) to reach his breaking point. Candice King and Michael Malarkey also star."

Although Julian has a history of problematic behavior, Damon's vendetta against him is mainly rooted in his revenge mission against his mother, who was part of the scheme to put Elena (Nina Dobrev) under a sleeping spell last season. In turn, Damon wants Lily to suffer the same pain that he is feeling after losing the love of his life.

A sneak peek video also reveals that Bonnie and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will arrive at Lily's party at the same time. However, before they enter the party, Enzo tells her that she will be his date for the night.

"Did whatever animal they're serving for dinner get a plus one?" Bonnie mockingly asks Enzo in the clip.

"Hilarious," Enzo responds. "I was invited."

He then quickly adds, "Since you're here, if anyone's wondering, you're my date." At that moment Lily greets them at the door.

In the meantime, executive producer Caroline Dries revealed more about Stefan's history with Valerie.

"[Their history] will start to make [Caroline] feel insecure about where she stands with him," she told TVLine. "She's not an insecure character, [but] these little things keep chipping away at her. ... Stefan will struggle with how to be a good guy to validate his relationship with Valerie and also feel like he's not leaving Caroline in the dust. ... In Episode 6, he'll admit how this affects him, even in present day. [Meanwhile, Caroline is] going to find an inner strength she didn't know she had."

Jodi Lyn O'Keefe also opened up about how her character Jo will adjust, after being resurrected from the dead through the Phoenix Stone.

"[Her journey is about] self-discovery, and a lot of it. She'll be figuring out who she is and where she came from and what's happening. It's like a baby being born," she told TVLine,

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reports that Leslie-Anne Huff has been cast to play Rayna, an extremely dangerous new vampire hunter who will bring havoc to the series. In her official character description, Rayna is noted to be "fierce, driven, smart and confident - a deadly legend who literally cannot rest until her vengeance is complete."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 Episode 6 premieres on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
