NBA 2K16 News: Patch Update Released for PS4, Coming Soon for Xbox One
NBA 2K16 developer 2K Sports released a patch on Friday that will improve gameplay and visuals in the game.
Sony has approved the patch, and it is now available on the PlayStation 4. Microsoft has not yet approved the patch, but will soon.
NBA 2K16 announced in a tweet that Patch Update v3 is now working for the PlayStation 4. The tweet also mentioned that the update would be coming to the Xbox One soon.
2K Sports released notes on the update, which includes various improvements. Here are some of the highlights of the new patch:
When entering a Play Now Online game, players will now be able to see which uniform their opponents select. Other uniform improvements have also been made, including the Flip Saunders patch added to the Minnesota Timberwolves uniforms. Additionally, classic team uniforms have been corrected to improve their accuracy for the 07-08 Celtics, 99-00 Raptors, 05-06 Heat and other teams.
Face scanning has received an update as well. When players scan their own faces into the game, the digital versions will be more accurate. Also, missing materials have been fixed for user-edited shoes.
As far as gameplay, several issues have been addressed and fixed. One issue caused players' stamina to recover too quickly during timeouts, allowing players to act as if they never got tired. Additionally, players would not sweat enough during longer quarter lengths. Both of these problems have been fixed.
Injury glitches and issues have been fixed as well. Undiagnosed injuries occurring during a game will cause a player to suffer from the effects. Short-term injuries that last only minutes will expire properly, and the player will recover once that time is up.
Finally, the Artificial Intelligence has been improved, making for better teammates for the player.
The entire list of improvements made for the game can be seen in a Facebook post from NBA 2K16.
