Actress Olivia Wilde on Thursday shared a fond memory of meeting the late comedian and actor Chris Farley when she was only 10 years old.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Wilde went on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and spoke about many things, including her thoughts on Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush.

But audiences and viewers were perhaps most impressed by her story of meeting Farley at such a young age. Wilde said that she met the legendary comedian while attending an after-party for a "Saturday Night Live" taping. The elder actor even helped her feel better about her weight.

"I was a fat kid. I was standing by the dessert table, as usual, eating a brownie, kind of self-consciously," Wilde told Corden on the show. "Chris Farley walked up, locked eyes with me, took a brownie, put it in his mouth. Then took another brownie, and put it in his mouth. Then another one, and put it in his mouth. Then he started slamming them into his mouth."

Farley was obviously trying to make the young Wilde laugh, taking time out of his party to make her feel less self-conscious about her weight.

"He took time out of his party to come over and make me laugh. It was so moving, so sweet," Wilde added. She praised him for making an effort simply "to delight a child."

Farley was a rising star within the "SNL" community in the early 1990s. In 1997, he tragically fell victim to his own habits, when he accidentally died of a drug overdose.
