In a new segment introduced by "The Daily Show" called "What The Actual Fact," senior political correspondent Desi Lydic did some comical fact-checking on the latest GOP debate on Fox Business Network.

According to Deadline, the most recent GOP debate actually scored the best marks among viewers, partly because it was considered less theatrical than previous debates. But, as Lydic pointed out, the candidates still went astray with the facts at times.

During the debate, Trump at one point claimed to personally know Russian President Vladimir Putin because they were on an episode of "60 Minutes" together and claimed they were "stable mates."

"I got to know [Putin] very well because we were both on '60 Minutes.'" Trump said at the debate. "We were stable mates and we did very well that night [in the ratings]."

Although Lydic was able to confirm that both men appeared on the show, there were some clear discrepancies in Trump's claim, particularly his point about being stable mates. Lydic pointed out they appeared on the show in two different segments, filmed in two different cities, in two different countries.

Her score for that fact was "wrong," but she still awarded him the "adorable" prize and said it was "like a puppy snorting cocaine."

Lydic then segued over to Carly Fiorina, who claimed to have met Putin once in a business meeting, not in a "green room."

All Lydic had to do for that one was play a taped interview Fiorina gave on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon," in which she said she had met Putin in a "green room." The score card pretty much spoke for itself.

"Ewww! Sorry Carly, that's a video that actually exists," Lydic said, adding, "Since it was such a weird thing to lie about, I'm giving that one a Rachel Dolezal."

Lydic's reference was to Dolezal, the woman who became publicly infamous for claiming to be African-American despite being born to Caucasian parents.
