Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer can never stop actress Shannen Doherty from attending red carpet events like the recent Baby2Baby gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. This is the first appearance of Doherty since announcing her diagnosis back in August.

E! News revealed that the "Beverly Hills" and "90210" actress looked dashing in her Vera Wang black dress, which she accessorized with a belt, matching heels and silver sparkly dangling earrings.

Despite the obvious hardship that the former "Charmed" actress was experiencing after her brave announcement about her breast cancer diagnosis in August, Doherty was all smiles walking the red carpet and even posting a photo from the event on social media.

Doherty posed one red carpet appearance photo on her Instagram, where she wrote alongside the photo a caption that reads: "At the @baby2baby gala. Such a wonderful evening with inspiring women like @kerrywashington who gave one of the most inspiring speeches and the gorgeous, funny @jessicaalba check out #baby2baby an organization that helps supply necessities for children coming from low income or no income families."

Doherty made it to the headlines back in August when she confirmed the rumors claiming that she was indeed diagnosed with breast cancer. Talking with People, Doherty said, "Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment."

"I am continuing to eat right, exercise and stay very positive about my life," the 44-year-old actress continued. "I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support and, of course, my fans who have stood by me."

E! News further reported that along with Doherty, several other celebrities attended the event including Jessica Alba, Julie Bowen, Jessica Biel, Kourtney Kardashian, Kerry Washington and "Punky Brewster" star Soleil Moon Frye.

Even though the event marked the first time Doherty appeared in an event after her announcement, the actress had always maintained her presence on social media. Recently, Doherty jokingly posted on Instagram a photo of herself and her girlfriends, who grabbed her breasts in remembrance of breast cancer awareness.

"It's #breastcancerawareness night.... Friends examine friends or in tonight's case that means feeling up@theshando with @thehmc#theyfeelprettygood #winkwink," the actress captioned the photo as she seemingly took her diagnosis lightly in spreading awareness about the disease.

Doherty, as reported by People, also previously encountered problems with her medical benefits as legal documents surfaced revealing her case against her former business manager for failing to pay her insurance premiums, which caused health insurance to lapse and kept her from receiving medical care.
