Donald Trump on Ronda Rousey UFC 193 Defeat: 'Not A Nice Person'
Republican 2016 presidential front-runner Donald Trump is celebrating Ronda Rousey's first career UFC defeat as much as anyone.
The previously undefeated bantamweight champion went down in stunning fashion to Holly Holm Saturday night in Australia, and Trump was among the first to gleefully mark the occasion, making his joy known on Twitter.
Holm caught Rousey with a vicious kick to the face early in the match. The victor followed that with an equally brutal pounding that left Rousey bleeding profusely, sending her to the hospital to receive several stitches to close a deep gash in her lip.
Shaking off all Trump's criticisms, Rousey has already vowed to return, after taking off an unspecified amount of time to recharge and refocus. Meanwhile, the outspoken Trump has already moved on to bigger and more satisfying things.
He praised New England Patriots quarterback and rumored GOP supporter Tom Brady's performance in his team's 27-26 come-from-behind win over the rival New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
According to Reuters, in the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll, the billionaire real estate mogul now leads GOP challenger Ben Carson among all GOP voters 34 to 20 percent. Trump's surge appears at least partly fueled by his recent "Saturday Night Live" host appearance, which attracted the show's highest ratings in two years.
The poll also found that support for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has remained flat at 10 percent, while onetime party front-runner and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush continues to struggle at just four percent.
