Several comedy shows have opened up their programs with heartfelt sentiments for the victims of the Paris attack last Friday, but none gave such a lasting impression as that of John Oliver on his premium cable HBO show.

According to Deadline, Oliver opened his HBO show "Last Week Tonight" with the headlining news from Paris.

"Sadly we must begin with a few words about France which on Friday suffered the deadliest attack on its soil since World War II," he said.

But he quickly followed that up by saying that it helps to be on HBO at a time like that, so he could make his comments without restraint. He was not referring to showing his condolences to the Paris victims, which he eventually did. Rather, he optioned to speak directly to the terrorist organization ISIS for their actions and what they have actually done to themselves.

"After the many necessary and appropriate moments of silence, I'd like to offer you a moment of premium cable profanity."

That is the moment where the host really let loose with his profanity laced rhetoric directed at ISIS and he did not spare a single detail of what was on his mind.

"So here is where things stand: First, as of now we know this attack was carried out by gigantic f***ing a**holes... unconscionable flaming a**holes, possibly, possibly working with other f***ing a**holes, definitely working in service of an ideology of pure a**-hole-ry," Oliver said.

He continued to compare the actions of the terror group to an incredibly naïve ideology that would eventually end them up in the losers circle. This was achieved by contrasting the ideologies of a long history of culture in France that has endured for many more centuries.

"You just brought a philosophy of rigorous self-abnegation to a pastry fight, my friend. You are f***ed," he said.

In the end, Oliver expressed his sympathies for the victims of the attacks and then continued on with his show.
