Following the release of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's "Hercules" trailer as reported by Hollywood Life, the former professional wrestler talked about playing a comic book character for a possible DC film.

"The Rock" first teased that he's working with DC back in 2013 when he tweeted, "We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assery #RockTalk @ActionTilson."

But recently, in a meeting with reporters from Cinemablend at CinemaCon, The Rock hinted that he might play the DC character Lobo, an intergalactic bounty hunter and mercenary.

During the interview, the actor revealed that before agreeing to play a superhero in a film, the character must have three basic requirements.

He said, "He had to be extremely complex and have a lot of going on. What that does for me as an actor and for the studio is it gives us space that we can explore."

For the second trait, he wants role that will allow him to combine his own and his character's personality. He commented, "What that does, again as an actor, is that it gives me a little bit of space...it gives me a chance to put an imprint into his personality with the set of tools that I can bring to the table and put a very unique twist on his personality - but still pay homage to who he is."

As for the third characteristic, he wants what probably everybody else is looking for in a superhero: "He had to be a badass mother******. And on Superman level of power where he can throw down. In those three qualities I'm happy we found that character and right now we're out to a lot of writers."

Although no formal announcement was made, Lobo clearly fits Johnson's requirements for a superhero role.

Being an anti-hero, this bounty hunter has a very colorful personality, one that The Rock can easily work with. As for his "badass credentials", Lobo rides what appears to be a space-age version of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, wields numerous firearms, chained hooks and knives and has the physical strength to go toe-to-toe against Superman in a fist-fight.
