After 10 years of marriage, Hollywood A-list couple Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin have decided to put an end to it. Paltrow and Martin have publicly announced their split. According to their statement announced via GOOP, "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate."

Paltrow and Martin are parents to two kids named Apple, who is nine-and-a-half years old, and son Moses, who is seven-and-a-half. The couple also stated that they have been working on their marriage for over a year now. Some of that time was spent together and the rest of it was spent apart. After the grueling months of fighting for their marriage, they have decided that, even if they love each other so much, they still have to part ways.

Despite the sad separation, they both promised to be good parents to their kids. They said that they would always remain a family and they have also expressed that they are now closer than they have ever been. They have always conducted their duty as parents privately, and they vow to continue as such. It was in 2003 when award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow decided to marry Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin. Over the years they have faced rumors of breaking up, but it was only now that the rumors have finally been confirmed.

The couple admitted that they are both emotional and relieved with the decision. They have spent a lot of time in battling to try and save the marriage. This time, nothing will stop them from carrying out their decision. Just last year, they decided to move from London to New York and they were even seen together during the 71st Golden Globes Award in January. Last October, Gwyneth denied having any romantic relationship with Jeff Soffer, the husband of Elle Macpherson, a supermodel. The rumor came out in a Vanity Fair article. The division of assets as well as the discussion of child custody will be resolved by lawyers at a later date.
