Lindsey Vonn's doomed relationship with Tiger Woods remains a confusing time in the memory of the Olympic gold medal skier.

Some six months after they ended their two-year romance, Vonn recently told The New York Times she feels she rushed into her relationship with the golfing legend and still considers their time together a "learning experience."

At the time of their split, rumors circulated that Woods may have been unfaithful to Vonn, resorting back to some of his old cheating ways, which caused the end of his marriage to Elin Nordegren.

"Thomas was really my first boyfriend, so I didn't have a lot of dating experience," she said of ex-husband Thomas Vonn, whom she married in 2007 at the age of 22. "So jumping into a relationship right away after getting a divorce was probably not the smartest move on my part."

Still, Vonn stressed she doesn't regret any of her time with Woods. She hinted she came to learn more of what she truly desires in a mate from their time together.

As for now, the 31-year-old Vonn insisted she is single, but perhaps not quite ready to mingle.

"I'm not going to force anything," she said. "I have a limited window to accomplish my ski-racing dreams, so I don't want to give that up for really anything."

The two-time Olympic medalist will make another bid for skiing history later this month, when she is expected to compete in the World Cup in Aspen. After several years ruined by devastating knee and ankle injuries, Vonn is considered the favorite to claim the overall title, with chief rivals Anna Fenninger and Tina Maze missing this winter season.

In addition, she has targeted the 2018 Olympic Games in South Korea as another chance to lay claim to Olympic gold.
