Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Adopt New Pets
Miley Cyrus helped her ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth adopt a 6-month-old puppy over the weekend.
"Thanks @mileycyrus for loving dogs as much as we do!! You helped find this gigantic, 6 month old puppy a new home. @liamhemsworth you will give this deserving baby a great life!" a Pet Rescue Center captioned an Instagram photo of Hemsworth and his new best friend.
Wylder's Holistic Pet and Rescue Center posted the photo on Monday after the "Hunger Games" actor adopted the dog.
Cyrus adopted a puppy over the weekend as well and named him Yogi. She adopted the dog at an event for The Bella Foundation, which she attended with her good friend Wayne Coyne, front man for the Flaming Lips.
"Huge shout out to @waynecoyne5 and @mileycyrus for swinging by the mega adoption event today and adding a furry friend from @okcanimalwelfare to the family!" the foundation captioned a post of the "Wrecking Ball" singer and her new best friend.
The former Disney star said Yogi was supposed to live with Coyne at first, but now she's home with Cyrus and will make a great friend to her puppy Milky.
Hemsworth named his puppy Dora after Nick Jr.'s "Dora the Explorer" because it's his niece and nephew's favorite show. Meanwhile, Cyrus thought the dog would be a perfect fit for him.
"Miley sent him a ton of photos - Liam was asking for photos of the dog being held," an employee for the pet rescue told Us Weekly. "Liam got back from China and literally came right to Wylder's to take the dog home. The dog is super gentle and sweet and took right to Liam, despite being afraid of men in the past."
The 22-year-old dated Hemsworth in the past, until they called off their engagement. Since then, she has been linked to a number of people, including Patrick Schwarzenegger and a Victoria's Secret angle.
