Latin pop singer Anahí shared her response to her former RBD groupmate Christian Chávez's interview with "Despierta América," in which he revealed it was the popstar who helped save his life.

On Nov. 16, just days after the interview aired, Anahí posted a photo of her and Chavez together on Instagram and captioned it with an emotional and supportive note to her close friend.

"We have always been together. In the most happy moments and in the most difficult because we are friends and siblings and the time and the years have shown us that the real ones [friends] are never gone from your life. There is nothing else that needs to be said. Thanks to God for your life and your smile. I love seeing you happy!! I love you my @christianchavezreal you are my brother," wrote the singer.

According to TVNotas, during his interview with "Despierta América," Chavez explained that after he publicized shocking images on social media, that suggested a suicide attempt, Anahí got scared and rushed to see him. Chávez revealed that the Latin superstar helped save him.

The "Rumba" singer and the people she was with broke the front door to get into Chavez's home and when he woke up, he recalled Anahí on top of him, slapping him back to consciousness.

"Anahí is a person with a special soul," said Chavez. "If she wouldn't have arrived I wouldn't be here."

The singer also revealed that prior to his suicide attempt he was dealing with drug addiction and depression and didn't even want to go outside, explaining that he felt "like garbage."

"It's something that I haven't shared because it was tough. I wasn't Christian Chávez the singer, I wasn't Christian Chávez the actor, I was the one who came out in magazines because of scandals, or some other news that came out...I started losing my values, I started deceiving what my family had instilled in me," he explained.
