Fantasy Football 2015 Rankings, Sleepers & Week 12 Waiver Wire: Top 5 NFL Players to Pick Up This Week
The waiver wire is absolutely critical for Fantasy Football owners everywhere. Staying on top of free agency can make or break your team every week. Disappointing play and injuries often lead to Fantasy Football owners checking their waiver wire to help aid their roster week in and week out.
Here are five players you should consider singing off the waiver wire this week.
1. Denard Robinson
Denard Robinson has been pretty disappointing this year compared to last season. Last year Robinson had 582 rushing yards on 135 carries, but this year has been dramatically different. Robinson has just 22 carries for 77 yards. The Jacksonville Jaguars simply haven't used Robinson as much as last year, but he got a pretty good load in Week 11 against the Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars take on the San Diego Chargers, who have one of the worst defenses in the league next week, so Robinson should have his way if given the chance. Don't count out the 4-6 Jaguars from winning the AFC South.
2. Brock Osweiler
A lot of people forget that Brock Osweiler was a second round draft pick by the Denver Broncos back in 2012. This isn't just some "old backup quarterback with nothing to prove." Peyton Manning has multiple injuries to his leg and shoulder, and there's no reason for the future Hall of Famer to return next week against the New England Patriots. With Osweiler starting and winning in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears, it marked the first time all season long the Broncos did not commit a turnover. You can bet Osweiler will be available in your league, but you better move fast if you want to be Brock-solid.
3. Thomas Rawls
This is kind of similar to the Broncos situation. Sometimes the backup is just a better option for the time being. Thomas Rawls has a team-leading 604 rushing yards this year, nearly 200 more than Marshawn Lynch. Rawls had an incredible 209 rushing yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11. Next week Rawls and the Seahawks take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have a good defense. Regardless, if you're having running back issues, go ahead and sign Rawls off the waiver wire to help your roster.
4. Terrance Williams
Tony Romo is back, and for Fantasy Football owners with Dallas Cowboys players on their roster, they couldn't be happier. Dez Bryant obviously won't be available in any league, so it's time to grab Terrance Williams while you can. Williams ranks second (behind Jason Witten) on the team in receiving yards and first in receiving touchdowns. With Romo back under center, the Cowboys will be throwing more deep balls towards Williams. Williams' 31-yard touchdown this past weekend against the Miami Dolphins was his first since Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints.
5. Kamar Aiken
Things just keep getting worse for the Baltimore Ravens. They've been hit with the injury bug worse than any other team in the league, and now quarterback Joe Flacco is out for the remainder year. With Steve Smith out for the year because of an Achilles injury, it's time to rely on Kamar Aiken. Aiken is the active leading receiver for the Ravens this year with 456 receiving yards, and he has had at least 50 yards in the last three consecutive weeks. Aiken and the Ravens take on the Cleveland Browns next game, who have the 30th ranked defense in the league. You should be able to get a hold of Aiken if you need wide receiver help considering only 3.8 percent of owners currently have him.
