Chicago Bulls vs Portland Trail Blazers: Preview, How To Watch & Live Stream
The Chicago Bulls are looking to get another win as they battle the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center on Tuesday night. It will be the first of two meetings between these two teams this season.
Derrick Rose has missed the last two games for the Bulls after suffering a left ankle injury Monday last week in their win over the Indiana Pacers. According to the Chicago Tribune, Rose fully participated in Sunday's practice and is expected to return to the lineup against the Blazers.
"He was good, made it through another full practice. We got up and down a little, and Derrick made it through," Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said. This will be Rose's first appearance in Portland since suffering a torn right meniscus against the Blazers last November 2013.
Chicago lost their last game against the defending champions Golden State Warriors last Friday night. Jimmy Butler had a great game, scoring 28 points, grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out seven assists with three steals in the 106-94 defeat.
"We dig ourselves a hole and think we can pick it up. Doesn't work like that. You have to come out from the jump and try to beat a team for all 48 minutes," Butler said after the game. Currently, the Bulls are fourth in the Eastern Conference with an 8-4 record.
The Blazers are coming off two back-to-back wins against the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers. Damian Lillard is leading the team with 25.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season.
In their last game against the Lakers in Staples Center, Lillard scored 30 points and dished out 13 assists to lead the Blazers to a 107-93 win. "We got ourselves together. The position we've been in, we know it's a game of runs. We tightened down defensively and got it done," Lillard said after the game.
CJ McCollum added 19 points and five assists to continue his breakout season while Miles Plumlee scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. "I think Plumlee is in a good rhythm. He's shooting the ball, he's passing it, he's figuring out how to make himself available on rolls," Blazers coach Terry Stotts said. Portland is currently 11th in the crowded Western Conference with a 6-9 record.
These two teams split the season series last season, both winning in their home floor. Tip-off starts at 10:00 p.m. ET and is available on NBA League Pass and NBA TV Canada. It will also be broadcasted locally on WGN-TV and CSNNWHD in Chicago and Portland, respectively.
