'Clash of Clans' Update Features: December 2015 Patch To Bring Town Hall Level 11 & More
The "Clash of Clans" major update is one of the most-awaited ones in mobile gaming. With the release date nearing, Supercell unveils a few more details on the upcoming patch including a new sneak peek that specifies an important feature change coming with the update.
According to a report from Touch Arcade, Supercell is hyping up the new patch with a series of videos that highlight different features that will be landing in the game soon. The latest clip focused on shield changes in "Clash of Clans," one that will make it so getting a town hall destroyed will no longer grant players a shield in the game.
This makes a significant difference in the game, especially in the base designs that often has town halls in the outer layer of the base. Now, shields are attained in accordance to the percentage of the base damaged.
Another change in the gameplay is attacking with the shields, which no longer breaks it. Instead, the shield time decreases slightly with the attacks, specifically three whole hours deducted from the total time left.
A report from Neurogadget provided more details on the upcoming patch that will shake things up for both newbies and experienced players of "Clash of Clans." Most notably, a new max level will be introduced: Town Hall 11. Not all existing players are at Level 10 at the moment, but updating the Town Hall to Level 11 will offer some incentive, specifically a new defensive building with a powerful laser beam.
There will also be a brand new hero. While not much has been revealed about this character, it will reportedly cost six million elixirs and likely appear as a mage. Fans are also expecting new buildings and other additional features with the update that's said to be one of the biggest in franchise history.
Meanwhile, a separate report from Neurogadget detailed out how to improve performance in "Clash of Clans" as players wait for the latest update. Tips for raids are included, such as destroying an entire village to collect all three stars available. Staging a quick raid is also important as it increases the chances of the total destruction of the village. The three stars available are rewarded for destroying the Town Hall, destroying 50 percent of the village and completely destroying the entire village.
The guide also included how to level up quickly in the game by earning as much xp as possible. Neurogadget explained that xp is earned by donating troops to fellow players, destroying Town Halls, upgrading buildings and clearing obstacles.
