Eva Longoria's political drama has reportedly been purchased by ABC, solidifying the actress' increasing rise as a content producer.

The drama was produced by Longoria's company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment alongside Conde Nast Entertainment.

The series currently has no title, but it is based on the stories of San Antonio mayor Julian Castro and his twin brother U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro. It was written by Nikki Toscano, who also served as executive producer on the project.

The company is also working on a Family Comedy for ABC with writer Bobby Bowman, which tells the story of a Latino chef who runs a cafe with his white father-in-law. Interracial relationships are at the forefront of the story, continuing Longoria's support for giving Latinos prominence in the industry.

For years the actress has been fighting hard to make sure that Latinos get better representation in major media, including film and television.

The Texas-born superstar came to prominence for her work on the ABC hit series "Desperate Housewives." She won five awards for her work in the series including a People's Choice Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Teen Choice Award. She was also nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical Comedy in 2006, but did not manage a victory. She also has two ALMA Award nominations to her name as well.

Aside from her work on "Desperate Housewives," the actress has appeared in 17 television series and is slated to appear in the upcoming "Telenovela." She also has close to 20 movie credits to her name and has produced a number of TV series. UnbeliEVAble Productions was created in 2011.
