When will George R.R. Martin's sixth book, "The Winds of Winter," of the popular saga "A Song of Ice and Fire" hit the market?

The question will pop in any loyal reader's mind of the book series after hearing the stunning actress Emilia Clarke talking about how she wishes the HBO hit TV show "Game of Thrones," an adaptation of Martin's novel, to end.

Clarke, who portrays Daenerys Targaryen the Mother of Dragons, obviously wants a happy ending for her character above anything else. She herself believes that a sweet finale is intended for Dany.

"What I would hope for Dany is that she wins the whole d*mn thing. That she wins, and she wins all of it -- and she wins. That's what I think is going to happen!" Clarke told Entertainment Tonight.

Clarke also revealed that there could be an "extended twist" for the HBO show, which was reported to end after eight seasons only, per a separate report from the Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm all about leaving the party when it's still kicking. So I think that maybe [season] seven will get split into two, or maybe it will just be straight to eight," the 29-year-old actress said.

Season 6 has already begun shooting in June even before "Winds of Winter" has been released, Entertainment Tonight noted, citing HBO's President of Programming Michael Lombardo.

"The Winds of Winter" to be published in early 2016?

Entertainment Weekly noted that "The Winds of Winter" is expected to be released before the sixth season of "Game of Thrones."

However, Winter is Coming informed that it may not be realistic for fans to hope that "The Winds of Winter" will be released in early 2016. The site mentioned a March post on Watchers on the Wall, which made a scientific guess that "George is just north of 1000 manuscript pages with an expected completion date of late 2016 to early 2017."

However, the author of the theory stated that Martin could still complete it between January and February of 2016 "if George was able to write at his 2010 height."

Yet, there's still hope Martin could be done writing it in Spring, especially with the Emmy Award winner had already taken the initiative to focus his efforts on completing it, per the Entertainment Weekly report in April, a month after the Watchers on the Wall's article. For Martin, publishing Book 6 before the premiere of the series is "important" for him. Thus, he canceled several appearances and even turned down some interviews to give it his full attention.

Could it really be out in Spring next year?
