In this atmospheric puzzle-adventure game, players are already dead and their mission is to figure out who they are and they must do. Set in the afterlife, players will have to walk up to a gravestone, read the inscription and be "transported through space and time to where a defining moment of that person's life took place."

Players will learn more about the story through exploring the environments, understanding messages they encountered and poetry spoken by those who were dead a long time ago.

Gamers excited for Xing: The Land Beyond can experience the game as early as before the year ends. According to the PlayStation blog post, it will be showcased during the PlayStation Experience event happening in San Francisco.

PlayStation Experience 2015 is scheduled from Dec. 5-6 in Moscone West, San Francisco, California. Tickets are currently available for this gaming event.

Talking about their inspirations to create Xing: The Land Beyond, Kruer shared that a huge part of the game's design was inspired by puzzle games like Myst and Portal. Adventure games such as Zelda and Journey also served as building blocks for their ideas for Xing to grow.

To improve the design and give us new perspectives, the development team also used movies, arts, TV shows and photos of interesting pictures in Google as inspiration for the upcoming game.
