The latest update from Rocket League developer revealed that winter is coming to the game next month. Gamers can also expect new and exciting items for the vehicle soccer video game.

According to Jeremy Dunham, Psyonix' Vice President of Marketing, as posted on the US PlayStation blog, Snow Day will arrive in Rocket League on Dec. 14. This new mode was initially announced as the hockey-inspired Mutator Mode, Dunham noted, adding that this new offering will replace the online playlist called Mutator Mashup.

Snow Day features "an ice-themed field and a heavy, disc-shaped puck," the post specified. In this new mode, Rocket League fans can expect a fresh twist to the classic, football-inspired game of Rocket League.

And to make the winter events more enjoyable, with the holiday season just around the corner, there will also be new Garage items to drop beginning Dec. 14. According to the post, the Winter Games items are "limited-time goodies" and players can unlock it by participating in matches.

Some of these winter items to find in Rocket League are Xmas Rocket Trail, Santa Topper, Blitzen Topper, Holiday Gift Antenna, Sad Sapling Topper, Christmas Tree Topper and Candy Cane Antenna.

Once gamers found this "Winter Games" collection, it is theirs to keep. The challenge is that Rocket League fans should be able to find those holiday-themed collectibles before January 4, otherwise, they will have to wait for the next year to acquire them.

Meanwhile, a previous report from Latin Post noted that Chaos Run DLC will also arrive for the game next month. The upcoming DLC will bring in "badass goodies inspired by the end of all civilized things," as cited on an earlier post on PlayStation blog.

Gamers can expect new cars, decals and other new contents. For instance, two new Battle-Cars are set to arrive in Rocket League, namely, Ripper and Grog, and each of them will come with fresh new decals.

Furthermore, the customization options will also increase upon the release of Chaos Run DLC. Accordingly, two new paint types will be available, Camo and Sun-Damaged.

Two new rocket trails, Sandstorm and Nuts and Bolts, are also expected to be included in the Chaos Run DLC. Watch the Rocket League trailer for the Chaos Run DLC to learn more about the new contents coming for the game, as posted on PlayStation's official Youtube channel.
