Pokémon Picross is arriving next month. The official release date has been revealed!

The official Pokemon website announced that the Pokémon Picross will be available on Dec. 3 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. In the game, players will "turn puzzles into portraits."

Specifically, the game's goal is to solve number puzzles that will lead them to complete the images of the favorite Pokémon characters. And once players are able to complete a puzzle, they will add that Pokemon in their collection.

IGN shared that the Pokémon Picross will be available for free on the eShop. However, gamers can avail "Picrites" using real money. As cited on the report, Picrites are rare stones that contain magical powers.

Picrites allow players to access more areas and unlock new levels in the game. Furthermore, it can also be used to help a Pokémon character regain their skills.

But aside from using real money to have access to Picrites, players are also offered various ways in the game to obtain these stones. Accordingly, one of the free ways to gain Picrites during the game is to clear a puzzle.

To easily level up in the game, players can take advantage of each skill possessed by every Pokémon. For instance, Lucario's Hyper Scan skill can scan the grid as well as fix incorrect squares.

Meanwhile, the Blue Force skill of Squirtle "changes the color of hint numbers to blue on rows with squares you can definitely fill in," the official website explained.

"If a certain Pokémon uses their skill even once, they will run out of power after you exit a stage. Pokémon will recover from their out-of-power status as time passes," Pokémon's official site further noted.

In total, players can use 12 different skills with corresponding effects which can help them solve the puzzles. Also, the game features more than 300 puzzles to complete, not counting the advanced mode included in the game.

Aside from the familiar Pokémon, gamers will also see appearances from Mega-Evolved Pokémon that became part of the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. They will show up to challenge the gamers.

Legendary Pokémon and Mythical Pokemon are also coming to the game, the official site specified. Learn more about Pokémon Picross by watching the video below, as posted on The Official Pokémon Channel on Youtube:
