We're two steps ahead of you on that one. Everyone loves to play video games on those rainy days and we've provided a list of some of the most anticipated game releases set to debut in the month of April. Some of these games have already been released on the older consoles while some are just getting released on the older consoles but will have a next-gen release at some point in the near future.

Feel free to chime in via the comments section below and let us know what you think about the games listed below. There are plenty more to list, but these are just some of the ones in the spotlight for now.

Dark Souls 2 on PC

Although many people were looking forward to this release -- which is why it is one of the more anticipated launches as we head into the month of April -- the early reviews indicate that it might not be what everyone was exactly hoping for.

"Dark Souls fans that are holding out hope for an improved version of Dark Souls 2 next month when the game releases on PC, might be in for a let down," Al McCarthy said in an article for Attack Of The Fan Boy. "It was recently discovered that images are being removed from Steam that showcased texture and lighting elements that failed to make it into the console release."

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn on PS4

Here is yet another game that was initially already released on the older PS3 platform but had not yet made it out on the shelves as a next-gen game. This is about to change in just a couple weeks as Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn is slated to be released on PlayStation 4 on April 14. This is a very popular game when it comes to the worldwide global market as it is available in a wide variety of different languages.

MLB 14 The Show

The next-gen version of this game is not out until May, which is long after opening day, but this game is finally out today on PS3. Gamers can get into the swing of the baseball season with this game just as the actual season gets underway in the MLB. MLB 14 The Show has emerged as the leading baseball game among the most current generation of gamers, but the major downside to it is that it is exclusively on PlayStation platforms.
