It's believed Olivia Culpo and Tim Tebow have split because of the latter's preference to hold off on sex before marriage. This news comes after it was reported that the footballer was so enamored by the beauty queen that he's been sending her love notes.

A source told the New York Daily New's Confidential that Culpo broke up with Tebow because of lack of sex. The former Miss Universe beauty queen has reportedly told her friends that she's done having to cope up with his abstinence. The 28-year-old American football quarterback is reportedly very strict when it comes to preserving his chastity.

"She had to break up with him because she just couldn't handle it. He still hits her up, but she just can't deal with the sex thing. He's pretty adamant about it, I guess," the source said.

This is not the first time that Tebow's relationship didn't last for more than two months. He was previously romantically involved with actress Camilla Belle in 2009. It's believed the split was caused by his preference to save himself before marriage. According to Confidential, Tebow had publicly confirmed with AOL's Clay Travis back in 2009 that he was willing to wait until marriage to have sex.

According to Hollywood Life, Tebow and Culpo were first linked to each other in September. The pair reportedly started dating in October after the NFL star expressed his interest on the 23-year-old. The source said that during their two-month relationship, Tebow has been unfailing in his expression of love for Culpo. The source told Confidential that he has been "sending her love letters and cute notes" to profess his love for her.

Culpo previously dated Nick Jonas in 2013 until their split in June this year. Prior to having a serious relationship with the model, Jonas had worn a chastity ring. However, after meeting Culpo and after a year into their relationship, Jonas had taken off the ring to show he's matured and grown up.

Jonas had told The Sun that his purity ring is gone for good. He had also looked back with amusement at his former decision to keep off sex before marriage.

"It's a very strange thing when I look back. There are times I'm surprised I didn't lose my mind. But it was part of my journey and me trying to do the right thing," he said.

Meanwhile, Tebow and Culpo have yet to comment on the reports regarding their breakup. The model's latest tweet didn't give a hint about their split.
