Lenovo & Razer Team Up to Create Gaming PCs
Lenovo may not be the popular name when it comes to gaming PCs, but that's about to change as they recently partnered with Razer, an American company that specializes on gaming hardware, software and system.
According to Engadget, the two company's first collaboration has been in the form of the Lenovo Razer desktop, which is due to come out in January. The collaborative bond between the two companies has played a part in lifting each other's name in the tech market. Lenovo has capitalized on gaming in order to give a kick on their PC products while Razer, much as they are known for good gaming accessories, needs the name of a well-known brand in order to come on top.
ArsTechnica reported that the two companies, which already created the PC Y series for gaming, will introduce the prototype of the hardware during the DreamHack winter in Sweden. While the hardware will display the Lenovo logo, the design concept will be provided by Razer such as the angular case and the "chroma" lighting feature. The two companies have also promised their consumers that they will be developing more gaming technology aside from the PC for gaming. Lenovo is not new to the gaming world as they have released several devices in the past. The move to partner with Razer will only strengthen their mark in the gaming world.
To give you an idea of what the Lenovo Razer offers, TomsGuide featured the Lenovo Erazer X510 coming in at a starting price of $969.99. It has the fourth generation Intel Core processor, the Windows 8.1 64-bit Operating System, Quick, OneKey Overclocking System and Extreme Expandability for long-term power. The graphics of the Lenovo Razer X510 is powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB and has an optical drive for DVD recording. It weighs around 28 pounds with a dimension of 20.3 inches x 7.2 inches x 17.5 inches.
PCs today have been predominantly bought for gaming purposes. Other than that, laptops and tablets have significantly taken over the PC's primary role in the past. This is why Lenovo has been aiming in developing their PC gaming concept in order to bring back the glory days of selling PCs to their customers.
